Timmi Ryerson (Timothy Ryerson)
Founder & CEO, Smart Property Systems
Timmi Ryerson is the founder and CEO of Smart Property Systems, an AI-directed property management platform designed to automate and execute the operational workflows of real estate businesses.
Ryerson’s career spans healthcare, real estate investment, and technology, with a consistent focus on building systems that improve operational performance. She began as a speech pathologist and academic, serving as Assistant Professor of Clinical Practicum at the University of Washington, where she also completed a clinical fellowship. She later founded one of the first private speech pathology practices in Washington State, working closely with medical providers and insurers—including what is now Blue Shield—to help establish early coverage models for speech pathology services. Her work contributed to the expansion of private practice frameworks across the state.
Following the successful sale of her practice, Ryerson spent over two decades as a real estate investor and property manager, serving as President of IdaMinn, a privately held investment company. During this time, she experienced firsthand the operational inefficiencies of traditional property management systems—an insight that led to the founding of Smart Property Systems in 2011.
Under her leadership, SPS has evolved into a next-generation platform that moves beyond traditional software by actively executing property management workflows through an integrated AI layer. The company’s current architecture reflects this shift, positioning SPS as part of a new category of operational software designed to reduce manual workload and improve business performance at scale.
Ryerson is a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council and the NSBA Leadership Council. She has also served in leadership roles within nonprofit organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Vista California, where her contributions to membership growth and program development were formally recognized.
Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, Ryerson continues to focus on advancing AI-driven systems that redefine how property management businesses operate.
